SERVICES
The Westin
Building offers strategic, state-of-the-art facilities
for telecom, carrier, network, and media companies, wireless,
DSL, and cable service providers, as well as ILEC, CLEC,
PSTN, Internet, ISP, IXCs and ASP companies that require
high-speed network communications and facilities built
to accommodate your core business requirements. The Westin
Building is also the home of the Seattle Internet Exchange
(SIX) and Pacific Northwest Gigapop's Pacific Wave Exchange.

Facilities will discover not only a pleasant place to
conduct telecom business but all the key services, networks,
and security available in one of the largest carrier hotels
on the West coast of the United States. Our facilities
incorporate the following services to meet our customer's
requirements:
Locking
Cabinets
Several cabinet options are available. Cabinet configurations
require a minimum of one 4U device up to full cabinets.
Each cabinet offers redundant 110/208V 20 Amp power distribution
units fully backed by UPS and is connected to the Westin
Building Essential Power system, for longer-term generator
support.
Caged
Facilities
Caged facilities utilizing Twardus cage design are available
in various dimensions. Custom spaces are available and
developed on an individual basis. Cage facilities offer
individual cipher lock access and CCTV monitoring to ensure
security procedures are carefully enforced. Our facilities
allow companies to use their own cabinet, rack, wiring,
and other telecommunications and data equipment however
facility management must approve all plans and cages must
adhere to the Westin Building engineering standards. Clients
may also use the Westin Building construction and engineering
support for turnkey cage or site design and installation.
All space options contain customer-controlled cipher lock
access and are contained in a climate controlled secure
environment.
Building
Connectivity
The Westin Building is abundantly wired to virtually every
carrier and network provider in the Northwest. All our
facilities are carrier neutral. Tenants can choose between
multiple bandwidth providers that range from DSL to multiple
OC192s and everything in between. The Westin Building
is the Northwest's primary Gigapop site.
Security
The Westin Building offers 24x7 Building personnel attending
main entrances, manned checkpoints with personnel on-site
24X7, CCTV cameras which provide continuous video recording
of all entranceways as well as all colocation areas. Cabinets
have locking doors and our caged facilities offer cipher
locks. All egress and ingress activity is recorded via
integrated card access into building and parking garage
areas.
Environmental
Our facilities offer closely monitored climate control
cooling systems. Temperature and Humidity are carefully
maintained by redundant Liebert air conditioning systems.
Fire,
Life & Safety
Our Telecommunications Facilities offer pre-action dry
pipe sprinkler system with computer and telecommunications
rated smoke and heat detection systems. FM 200 fire suppression
systems are installed in some caged areas.
Power
Options
-48 Volt DC, 110/208 Volt AC, Uninterruptible Power Supply
(UPS). Our Facilities provide power systems that feature
continuous, redundant and protected AC or DC power, built
to N+1 redundancy. The redundant power in our facilities
enable your equipment to run continuously, even in the
event of a major outage.

Computer Room rated floor loads. 10 foot plus clear ceiling
heights
Customer
Access
Customers can access their servers within the facility
on a 24x7 basis. All building access is by secure card
key access only.

Meet-Me
Rooms
The
Westin Building's Copper and Fiber Meet-Me Rooms (MMRs)
are access controlled, managed facilities where buyers
and sellers of Broadband networks offer interconnectivity
to their backbones and diverse services. The MMRs are
state of the art areas centrally located within the building,
facilitating easy access to our new and existing high-rise
and low-rise cable risers. The MMRs allow tenant-to-tenant
cross connects to occur 24 hours a day at the tenant's
convenience. These amenities are a key offering to companies
facilitating the emerging market for bandwidth trading
as well as providing secure location that allows for competition
of network bandwidth where customers can select from criteria
unique to their applications and specifications. The interconnection
of carriers to other networks in a central location is
a highly efficient and cost-effective solution for expanding
a network's reach. The Westin Building's Telecommunications
department is responsive to the varying needs of Meet-Me-Room
tenants; and continually strives to provide the timely
service expected from companies at the forefront of the
telecom industry.
